In the beginning: before Bonecreak...
This is one of the earliest recordings by Bonecreak Ulysses (just 2 guys jamming in the basement, we didn't have a band name). Influenced and inspired by Industrial music, early noise and the avant garde, we created this massive slab of noise using very basic tools; a no-name $40 guitar from the junk shop, a 1970's Roland analogue synth, an old fashion record player and a megaphone. The only effects pedal would have been either an overdrive or distortion. Charles Gagnon on synth and guitar, Charles Hackbarth on turntable, guitar and voice.

Bonecreak Ulysses
Bonecreak Ulysses woke up dead, feeling cold and a little perturbed. Musik resonated through his bones. Magik held his mind tethered to his body with shiny red string. Bonecreak Ulysses rose from his bed and sought the source of the musik, he moved crabwise through the loam, through the rich pomegranate darkness. A soft amber glow seemed to light the way. He threaded his way up through a spiraling tunnel toward the surface, toward the world...
Bonecreak Ulysses is primarily the work of Charles Hackbarth, a Toronto based artist, writer and sound-maker. He releases limited edition CD-R on his label Hypnogogic Sound Lab.
Bonecreak Ulysses now has videos on YouTube. Check out the Bonecreak Ulysses channel.
Since the summer of 2012, Charles Hackbarth, Marc Cohen and Eric Laimer have been playing as a trio as The Body in Question. The band plays spontaneous compositions that merge krautrock drumming with electronica (think Black Dice or Kieren Hebden), free jazz, industrial, ambient, rock, blues, whatever.
